The Mashiach Ben David will rule as king over all of Israel, and will restore David's dynasty. He will bring peace and order to Israel, and will be the wisest man that ever lived, and the best politician. Mashiach Ben David will start a revolution in which he will make a perfect, G-d serving society. He will be the greatest prophet that ever aside from Moses.
The book of Isaiah (11:2) refers to six qualities that the Mashiach Ben David will possess:
1. G-d's spirit and wisdom will rest upon him
2. He will have the ability to counsel
3. Mighty
4. Knowledgable
5. G-d Fearing
6. He will be able to read people's spirits
The Mashiach Ben David will be able to sense a person's spiritual record and be able to tell if he or she is guilty or innocent. He will be able to tell what tribe people are in and will then divide up the land of Israel starting with the tribe of Levi.
Mashiach Ben David's Missions:
When Mashiach Ben David comes, war won't happen any more. Mashiach's popularity will increase with his spiritual powers. Once Mashiach is revealed, converts will no longer be accepted into Judaism. Jerusalem will be the center of worship and instructions and the Goyim (non-jews) will want to learn the ways of the Jews. Jerusalem will be the spiritual center of the world, and Jews will be the teachers of mankind. The whole world will proclaim G-d as one. All good things and delicacies will be as numerous as dust, and jealousy and competition will cease to exist. All nations and peoples will live together in peace. Mashiach's main goal is to bring the Jews back to G-d, and his secondary mission is to teach mankind. When humanity approaches perfection, everyone will witness G-d and be prophets. Suring that time of Mashiach, people will lose their desire for evil (although they will still have free will) and will only be inclined to do good, and serve G-d. Everyone will know G-d's name and not have to be reminded. Only the five books of the Tanach and Megillat Esther will be studied after the coming of Mashiach, because Navi helps us understand Torah, and Mashiach will reveal all meaning in the Torah. There will be no sacrifices of atonement, only thankful prayers will be recited.
Mashiach cannot come on Shabbat or on Yom Tov. In the Ani Ma'aminim, when we say that we are waiting for Mashiach, it means that we should realize what we are missing in life without him. People get comfortable with their lives and may think that they have everything, but we're really missing out, and we should be aware of how awesome our lives can be. One who refuses to believe in Mashiach is denying his faith in G-d. Believing in Mashiach helps Jews believe in G-d, and know his love for us after suffering such a miserable history of exile. As a nation, we have to await Mashiach together, not as individuals. Avraham (Abraham) was worthy of receiving the Torah, but G-d would only give the Torah to a nation, that's why he waited for Har Senai (Mount Sinai).
